Log Cabin Blanket - Done!

Log cabin blanket - DONE! Finally....I started it a couple of years ago. I KNOW! Don't even say it! It was done on small needles, at least they are small for me. And it's not perfect, so don't look too close. But I've decided better to be done than perfect!

I've been watching Miss Marple movies in the morning and finishing unfinished projects you see.

It's really quite nice you know...to sit a spell and relax. It's hardly done anymore.

I even made scones yesterday. They've dried cherries and pecans in them. I made them small you see, so I could eat one in the afternoon with a spot of tea, and not feel guilty about eating an entire scone.
I need to go now, somethings gone awry at the vicarage.

I need to go out and get some new Miss Marples, Ive only got a couple and watched them too many times, maybe I should treat myself to a boxed set??

Great, job on the blanket and the scones - dont kid yourself about making them smaller tho - you just eat more.

  8. Hi Birgit - yes we got more snow...not as bad as some areas though. Just enough to whiten things up a bit. I'm telling you, you will get tired of it when you move!

Yes Queen - it feels good to get it done, but as you can see, I want to start something new. I can't help it, I just do.

Vintage Farmhouse - those scones are yummy. I got the recipe from a B&B I stayed at years ago in Door County Wisconsin. And Teacups and Tiscuts was right - I had three for breakfast. Well, they're small....I made three out of one when I made them. So I figure I really only ate one.

Teacups & Tiscuts - Yes do treat yourself. Buy them now and save them for the winter when it's too cold to go outside. Make some scones and snuggle up with that BEAUTIFUL crochet blanket you are working on. I love that pattern. I'll probably be at a beach somewhere while you are doing all of this, you realize, not missing winter at all.

alee - I think it's a good idea too, and it's not to late to start. And it just popped into my head. Funny how things like that happen, huh? For those of you who want to see what we're talking about, go to her blog at damask designs and see New Year...New Song..New Beginnings.

Thanks TH - and Queen - Iknew you were trying to be philosophical. I was just trying to be funny!
