Back Gate Garden Show this weekend

This coming weekend is the Granny Bee Back Gate Garden Show. I had so much fun last year at this event that I spent a week blogging about it. I bought stuff, made stuff, learned new crafts and made new friends. Read about it starting here.

What are you doing? I SAID READ ABOUT it HERE....do it! And here and here!

Then hop in your car and join us at 115 & 119 Kingston Street in Kokomo, Indiana.

It starts this Friday May 13 and it's open from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
It is on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and
Sunday, 11;00 - 5:00

Besides touring the gardens at Liz & Beth's homes, the Bitters'sweet cabin will be open. There will be artisans hanging out demonstrating spinning, knitting, crocheting, needle punch, felting, basket making.... huuuu-deep breath..... rug hooking, applique', rug punch, and much more, plus many of them will be selling their wares.

There will be mini-classes for $6.00 on
Copper Dyeing
Weaving Mini Baskets
Cooking with Lemon Balm
and making your own Laundry Soap - by me!

which is why I keep showing you pics of laundry soap. If you take the class, you get a quart jar of laundry soap to try, and the recipe so you can make it yourself. Now, the recipe is not mine, and I've posted it before on my blog, but if you're like me, you like to learn by doing/watching/taking a class.

There will also be other classes such as appliqued journal covers and crazy quilt stitches. Those classes include kits and I think they are $20.00 each.

This weekend is a great weekend to learn new things, make new friends and just relax...sounds good to me! Bring a friend and join us. And bring a project to work on from home and sit a spell with us. You'll have fun - I promise!
