In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

When I first discovered blogs, I made a list of my faves, and would check them whenever I had time to sit at the computer for a spell. I wanted a blog of my own, but I had dial-up internet connection, and didn't know if I could do it. One time a blogger was having a dishcloth making challenge, and another blogger by the name of Cee Lew joined the challenge. I e-mailed Cee with a question for a pattern she posted. It's the blue dishcloth. Anyway I told her in the e-mail that I'd like to have a blog, but ....blah blah blah. She encouraged me to open one. She mentioned that she had dial-up when she first started blogging. And one day I just went to my computer with no planning to do so, and opened a blog. Just like that. No planning, but with encouragement from Cee. It has changed my life. I've met wonderful, funny, caring people that I would never have met without a blog. Now Cee needs encouraged, only in a much more serious way. Not long after having a baby her family planned on moving. They live in Australia. And ever since that move, her family has been in turmoil with no place to live. Bloggers are some of the nicest people I have 'met.' I was thinking if we could encourage her, and help her out, simply by posting her plight, maybe someone in Australia would be able to help her and her family find a place to live. Please link up to her blog if you can, and maybe someone will see her blog and be able to help her and her family. You never know...stranger things have happened. Thanks Bloggers, Cindy Bee
I'm 59. A wife, a beekeeper, a gardener, and a crafter. I like to read; novels and old cookbooks with history in them are my favorites. I've been married for 23 years to a loving, hard-working man, who makes me laugh. We have a little dog that was found in a park, and given to us. He is a boy, but has a girl name. Sorry Dixie. (could be uni-sex I suppose)
We have decided to take a journey together and build a new home on some land we purchased a few years ago. We are building the home ourselves. In 2016 we moved to the main level of our new home. I've created "The House on Hilltop Farm" blog, so I can record the house building journey. The Bee Lady from Hilltop Farm is about everything else going on in my life.
Nice to meet you.
So, I showed my niece my new (old) camper and she said, "I love the name coral belle. Coral reminds me of the ocean and the color of the camper reminds me of the color of the water in the ocean." (Out of the mouths of babes!)
