What a winter...

You know how you just know...something ain't right.
And, as you know, last week I wasn't feeling well.
But by Friday...I was feeling pretty good. Good enough to go out and do a couple of errands.
But on Saturday afternoon, I started having pain under my left arm.
By Saturday night that pain was so intense,
I had My Shug take me to the Emergency Room.
After an EKG and an x-ray...
we found I have pneumonia and pleurisy.
The Doc said he hasn't seen this in years, and suddenly he has two cases.
He gave me the choice of being admitted to the hospital,
or staying home and staying down. He said since I'm healthy in every other way,
he'd probably recommend I go home so as not to get any other germs in the hospital,
that are more serious than what I have.
I came home.
I'm on an arsenal of meds and an inhaler.
What a winter...

P.S. Did I mention we got 5 1/2 inches of snow yesterday.
And it's snowing again right now.

  8. Crikey, when you stumble upon a 'new' blog you just don't think you will read such bad news. Take real good care at home. I agree with your going home. Avoiding the hospital germs is a good call plus there's no place like home to relax and recuperate.

    Take care x

Do your best to stay warm and rest comfortably.
