More birds and crafty fun

I've made a few more birds....

I have been trying to get some motifs made to sell at the Winter Woolen Workshop. I'm not moving as quickly as I'd like to, but I'll do what I can. I'm not much into medicine, and since I'm taking some, I think it's drugging me to sleep. I'm sleeping too much. I've become too lazy..or tired..either way I can't like it.
Ok so, the Winter Woolen Workshop is a must if you are a crafter of any kind. It is held in two mansions here in Kokomo. And there will be crafters there of every kind. They have classes, demonstrations, vendors. You pay $10.00 to get in, the fee is for both days, and you can even bring in a project you are working on and just hang out with us all day. It is held on February 26 from 9-6 and February 27, from 11-5. You are guaranteed to have a lot of fun hanging out with a bunch of crafty women willing to demonstrate their skills.
My bird pattern came from this book.

This is their picture of the birds.
It's fun to put crocheted motifs on jeans, purses, curtains, (couldn't you just see a whole row of birds across the bottom of a curtain panel in a kitchen - I'm a nature girl) pillows, shirts...you name it.
I've also been making hearts. Hearts for a garland that I want to make for our house. I have been into quick projects lately. That way maybe I'll actually finish them!

However, there are a couple that I'm itching to try. One is here....http://juliacrossland.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-crochet-sea-pennies.html
and the other is here...
Tell me NO!
Oh and I almost forgot. For those of you who like the french country look, Damask Designs (look in my sidebar) is having a sale. They have a cute little store and it's just fun to go say hi. My friend and I are going to try to go tomorrow morning. We'll see. Hopefully I will get to take pics. I think they are Amish...so can i take pics if they are??? I dunno. I'll ask them.

PS - Here is the place having the sale tomorrow

  1. Love your little birds! And the sea penny tutorial you sent us to. How great is that one because you attach the circle right away when you finish it off. Even better because the afghans I do in pieces seem to never get put together.
