What is it?

So last night when we got home I sat down and saw this ball of material that did not get woven into the rug I was making at the fair. I got out a big crochet hook and started making a granny. It's turning out rather nice, but what could it be? Any ideas?

  2. Well hmmmmm, I could see it being a pot stand mat thingymajig.....I'd need to make several...or I could see a Pitcher of beer mat, but we never serve pitchers of beer, but I could put my pitcher of iced tea on it and then when it sweated all over the countertop it wouldn't get all messy. Or maybe I'll take it out and start knitting it and use it for a rug. Hmmm, I don't know. RJ - I'm surprised at you. really? Come up with something.

  5. Yes I do remember sit upons from Brownies! I think we used some sort of vinyl for them, didn't we? A trivet is a good idea Ronda...I actually thought of that, but I do have quite a few. But then, it'd be nice to have them all match, wouldn't it.

And I was actually going to make it bigger, I just stopped because I was goofing off, and didn't know what it was going to be. Why continue without a goal, I have too many WIP's to do something like that.

  6. I like having a really like mat for my table for hot foods. Then I know they will be okay. A small rug. A mat to go under the dish drainer. I am using a towel now because our hard water makes the tray yucky. Chair pad for your favorite seat. Play mat for kiddos.
