We got back on the road, and to try to alleviate my worry about Honey Bea, I worked on my afghan.
We stopped
for some Georgia pecans.
and maybe a stop or two for gas, and tea.
We finally made it to Florida....and I hear a buzzing....
Look who came flying in!
She thought she was hilarious photo-bombing our picture...
Needless to say we had a nice long chat.
We did make it to Vickie's brothers house, and this is the view from my bed.
Progress on my blanket!
Tee Hee...well it is the view from my bed!

I saw this pamphlet at the Florida Welcome Center and thought of you two!
It says you do NOT run that black bears are not aggressive. That they Bluff charge. So....if you see bears Do NOT RUN...Just calmly tell them "you are here".
Right!!!!!
Cindy, You sure tricked me..I thought wow, what a view.LOL. You know I am just not used to seeing a bear try to bluff me...so to not run would be because my arse is frozen. Have fun you two. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI tricked a bunch of people on facebook with that picture too Susie. Twas funny. I'm with you....I'd run too!

Yup! Make out that you are a bigger scarier bear than they are!

Jane...I'm tellin' ya....I'll run like a bat out of hell. Or I'd stand there frozen in shock, peeing my pants.

Bears can be scary!!! Stand tall, wave arms...and try not to be afraid!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteJP. Do you have them where you live too? Last year Jane posted a video of bears in her back yard!

Right right you finally understand you have been worrying about me for nothing:):).
ReplyDeleteLove the view from your window:) I mean bed. Oh what a fun trip enjoy enjoy. Hug B
Just read both 1 and 2 days posts, and it looks like you are having a blast! You got me on the picture before. I really believed it was the view outside your window. Your a stinker. Did you crochet all those blocks since you left? They are very pretty. Enjoy the heat, we have been getting snow flurries for the last 4 days and it has been very, very cold. But I am trying to look forward, suppose to hit 50 this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see Honey Bea has returned. I hope you told her off for going off on her own in a strange place. Perhaps she went looking for those palm trees seen from your bedroom. Thank you for the tip about bears - I don't think there are any in Cumbria so I should be ok when we move. Have a great trip. Philippa xx PS Keep on with those granny squares.
