But I also made dinner plans. Remember this kid? I'm sure you don't....I used to "Babysit" him!!! Blogettes, this kid used to wrap his arms around my leg when I was walking across the hard wood floor so he could go for a ride!!! He was three then. He is driving now. I can't stand it! Where does the time go?
Before dinner we went to First Friday. This is only the second one they've had and there was a lot of people there! And my niece didn't want to leave! She even asked if we could go again next month, and bring her Mom!
The first stop was the art gallery downtown and they were having a special Women of the World display. It's still going on so for those of you who live in town, go. You will not be disappointed. It was very inspiring.
We were so inspired the next morning we got out the clay.
Here is the icing on the cake. My niece wanted to see my new camper. She is all excited about having fun in it with her cousins. When she saw it she got this expression on her face and said something like...."well, you weren't kidding....you do have to fix it up!"
And then she said....and I might mention I LOVE THIS.....she said, "I really like that you named it Coral Belle. Coral reminds me of the ocean, and the color of the camper reminds me of the color of the water in the ocean." Out of the mouths of babes I tell ya......

Cindy I love how you have so much fun with your nieces. My oldest daughter has just started getting involved with her nieces this past few months. Even though she lived with her sister at one time she did not seem to take an interest. But the last few month she has gotten very involved in their lives. Love to see it.
ReplyDeleteI have a 'thing' for camper vans...can't wait to know all about her!
