Thanksgiving 2013!

Last Monday, after my Shug got off of work, we went to get our tree.  Perfect!  Skinny and tall.  It has to be skinny because we are still living in one room.  I know, I tell you that all the time.  Well.....it's true.  One room peeps.  Think about it....O.N.E. room!
And Tuesday I spent the day shopping for food and such, and doing errands, so I could bake desserts on Wednesday.  We got together with some friends for dinner on Tuesday and I had to take dessert there too.  So I made these pumpkin spice cupcakes that I've seen all over facebook.

The original recipe calls for Spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin.  Mix together and bake.  But after doing some research, I added three eggs, half cup of applesauce, and a teaspoon of pumkin spice.  Easy peasy and good.  I also iced them with cream cheese icing.  It makes 24, so there was plenty for Tuesday evening and Thanksgiving.  And they taste better the next day.
For Thanksgiving I took two pumpkin pies, pumpkin spice cupcakes, apple pie, brownies, and pecan tassies.

We went to my Sister and Brother-in-Laws house for Thanksgiving.  We all visited with each other while waiting for everyone to get there.

This is my Shug, My Brother, and my Nephew.

My nieces, visiting with my Mom.  ( her Grandchildren!)

  My Dad (with Molly)
 Trent's Dad, Greg.
My Sister in Law, Anh, Vinh
  Three of my nieces....

Who put on a play for us, about a time machine!  (they made it up and it had nothing to do with Thanksgiving!)

Trent and Theresa preparing for the family Thanksgiving at their house!! Looks like my sister is a two fisted drinker!

Trent preparing (and eating) the turkey!
My Shug made us all hold hands before he would say grace.  Everyone grumbled, but did it.  (I think it made some bonus points with Mom.  She thought it was a great idea.  And I got in trouble for taking pictures when they wanted to say grace and eat!)

My Sister's third glass!!!!  But who's counting.  (actually the big ones didn't have anything in them)

I gotta tell ya, I didn't want to cut this pie!  Too perfect looking!

We also ended up with key lime and peanut butter pie.  What a lot of sweets!

We celebrated Anh, Chee, and Lorri's birthdays!

Afterwards we all sat around visiting some more.  A very relaxing day.  (Vinh is on the right, one of the guys I used to babysit!)
Oh yeah, the guys did shoot some cross bows at targets for something to do.
This is Teng, the other little guy I used to babysit!

I hope you all had a Nice Thanksgiving.
My wish for all of you is to have a happy, healthy Holiday Season.
I'm preparing for a Tuesday brunch at my house, (room-teehee) and I hope to visit all of you Wednesday.
