In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Hey everyone....don't panic...I was just talking to my Sister last night and a comment was made about how we need to do our Christmas gift name exchange and I looked at the date!
We simplified a few years ago too and I love it. Instead of buying every family member a gift, we exchange names. We buy one person a gift. It saves a BUNCH of money, because now instead of buying for 15 people, we each buy for one person. And it saves a lot of stress too because now we don't have to find a place to put all of the "Stuff" we got from everyone.
And as I said last year, I started doing more traditional type stuff rather than gift type stuff. As I get older, I have more memories of doing things than I do of the stuff I got.
It's a tradition in our family to mark the 25th and say how many months it is until Christmas. It's my dads thing.
Anyway, yes simplify! I know several people who buy Christmas presents all year long and I think....how do you know what to get them, what will they want?
This year I'm going to ask hubs for crown molding in our bedroom. Do you think he'll agree? haha
scary isn't it?
ReplyDeleteCan we skip it this year?
