A blanket WIP

Last year, sometime in March, I got the itch to make a blanket.  Well, as blankets go, it got too big and heavy to lug around.
And this blanket is all wool, with chunky yarn, and it is heavy.
I was excited because I had several skeins of the cream and I got to use them up.
It got put away during the summer months, and I didn't get it back out because I had to lay it out on the bed to put it together.  I didn't want to lay it out unless I had an entire day at home to mess with it.  Well, I've had some days at home!
And it's all stitched together now.  And one of my resolutions is to finish  my WIP's. I have to tell you it took me forever to figure out how to put this together.  I think I finally have it how I like it, and I do like it a lot.  I'm anxious to finish it now.
So, this morning I was sitting in the recliner.....weaving in these ends, and I fell fast asleep under the warmth of this blankey!  For TWO hours!!!
This evening, I cut a sheet down to fit the back of the blanket.  And now, I must go, because I have ends to finish weaving and tea to sip!
Nitey Nite!

  3. Hi Cindy, I love it, too! You did a beautiful job laying out the pattern and the colors are so bright and cheerful. All wool . . . I love that, too. It must be so warm and cozy. When we had our big sailboat, I always kept a wool blanket on board. Did you know that even if it gets wet a wool blanket will keep you warm:) I am sure that you needed that nap, you're one girl that never sits still, LOL.
Keep smiling and have a great day.

  5. I love it! I have not made anything using 100%wool yet, just wool blends. I bet it is warm. Never thought to back a blanket like that. Will you hand sew it on? The different size squares I was working on from the Simply Crochet app...they just quit sending them. Not sure why. Not sure how to find out if it the app or that they are done.

  6. Forgot, wanted to let you know that Moogly is starting another CAL using different 12 inch blocks like last year. I was able to get both of the ones I was working on done and gifted to mom and mom in love for Christmas.
