Farmhouse Cafe'

Here are a few more pictures of the garden center we went to.  This was inside a very very old log cabin.

There weren't any windows in the cabin and they just had a hodge podge of garden-y stuff everywhere.
Out one door of the cabin is this open roofed type structure that they had a lot of plants in.
Here you can see one of the glassless windows in the log cabin.  There is a huge trumpet vine plant and the vine is going wild.  It's even on the inside of the building.
I'm on Pinterest as Cindy Rush (I think) and this was something I pinned awhile back.  I still want to make one of these out of old windows.  I have no idea what I'll do with it.  Maybe a fairy garden.
This is the entrance to one of thteir greenhouses.  Everywhere you look, everything is surrounded by plants and garden stuff.

This is the entrance to their cafe'.  We didn't eat here as it was still morning and we had just eaten breakfast.  But it looked like a fun place to have tea!
Well, it's taken a long time to download these pics.  When I get home I'll show more of our trip.  If you go to the Nashville, Indiana area, visit the Farmhouse Cafe'.  You won't regret it.
While waiting for these pictures to download, I finished a poncho I've been working on for a few weeks.  Can't wait to show you.  I've got a knitted poncho from years ago that I've hardly worn.  I'm getting it out this year and wearing it!

  1. I love exploring places like this. They are always full of surprises and you never see everything at first glance. Good luck with the mini greenhouse. I'm going to reuse some of our windows to make cold frames. Pxx

    1. Great idea about making cold frames. The windows I have I'm pretty sure have lead based paint so I don't think they would make good cold frames. My mind Is reeling w ideas after the last few days!

  9. There were a few birdhouses I wanted to bring home! If we weren't building a house my Shug would be making them. He used to make some really cute birdhouses.
