And we were in a quandary as to what we could do with it.
I was ready to leave it as is, and just paint it. (after I took all the heavy cardboard type stuff down)My Shug had already fixed the window in the ceiling so we could open it, but it needed a screen, lest wasps kept coming inside.
So he made a frame, put a screen in it, and the handle is on this side of the screen so it can be easily opened and closed.
Then I took these vintage hankies....
and this old glass window....
and with all of the insulation I have hung in our house, I have become quite efficient with a staple gun.
Before
After
We left one window out so we could open the sun roof. Is that what you call it?
My Shug came up with the idea for me to paint this (remember in the last post it was green?) And we hung it on the ceiling too.
And replaced all of the handles on the doors and drawers.
When I was working inside I had no way to close the screen door from the inside. We forgot about that! More vintage handle/knob cuteness!
Would you like to step inside?
But first, take a moment to just look at her.
Total camper cuteness!
Oh and wait...first I gotta ask you something....
What is it about these fold down doors that we all love?
They seriously make you gasp with excitement! They do. I've heard women gasp out loud when they see it. I'm thinking a vintage cute table cloth, a lemon bundt cake, and some tea. But then, Notaro mentioned something about a bar and I'm thinking..."yeah a bar." Wine perhaps....something stronger perhaps?!?!! I think a cooler would fit in that space where that big white spare tire thingy is! I am not going to need a spare tire, as it is not going anywhere. No electricity.
Now are you ready to step inside! Be my guest.
She isn't finished. Need to paint some more, and the floor isn't done. Need to cover windows and cushions, and clean up that paneling....all in due time....and I will show you more as I go along. But I could use her now, if I wanted to. In the last post or two a couple of you mentioned that I must be tired. Well, I am. Exhausted. Besides being menopausal, (aaaahhh so that's it you all say in unison) it is hell I'm tellin' ya, and I don't sleep, and I'm always working on something, and I don't even have a job. I mean always...and nothing is ever finished. Anyway...I'm taking a break. From work. I'm on vacation this week. Menopausal, housebuilding, beekeeping, camper fixing, housewives need a break too.
And lucky, lucky, lucky me. I won a $50 gift certificate to spend at the Hobnob Harvest Market in Effingham, IL, and my friend Teresa and I are going. Are any of you going? So I will be gone the next two days and I must remember to pack my camera. I plan on getting tons of ideas to show you all!
And I'm also going on our annual trek to Brown County, Indiana this week. So, I'm on vacay! or holiday! Whatevah you wanna call it...I'm outta here!
So....what do you think of Coral Belle? Do tell!

Cindy, I love the little camper...you are going to love it for a get away to yourself kind of place. Oh Brown County...that tugged at my heart. My girls and I used to go there every fall. It was a fun time for us, as we rarely had vacations. I would love one day to take my girls back there. Hope your trip to Illinois is fun. xoxo,Susie
