Wooly Wednesday

Ok so you saw the snowy pictures.  Well that was mostly Saturday, although it has snowed a bit every day since.  And Saturday was Wool Scrap Saturday.  Well, I slipped and slid my way to the yarn store.  And we had fun.  I finished working on my ginger man from the Fa la la la felt book.

The facial features were not showing up because of the wool I chose...so we chose some beads and well....he's kind of scary looking!  I do laugh when I see him though, so I guess that's good!
I spent a lot of time cutting up a bunch of wool...so we decided to have Wool Scrap Saturday again today, on Wednesday!  So you can come in and make a Christmas tree for $5.00.
Debbie did make it in on Saturday and made three cute trees.  She said she lives two minutes from the yarn store, and that included the time it took to scrape the snow from her car!

And these cutie pies, Mandy made me for my forest!  A fox and a mouse.  Adorable!
What does the fox say?  Seriously.  It' actually a loud kind of scary sounding scream.  Click here and listen!  I heard the Vixen's Scream last fall and it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.  Oh dear, I seem to have gotten a bit sidetracked.
Mandy also made this cell phone case.  Love the beads on it!

Dixie Doodle and I have been working on a Christmas present, so I can't divulge much info about it.  Except that it is being made from wool scraps too.  I asked him which color of wool for a tree...light brown or darker with stripes.  Him...being the tree expert and all...he chose the darker with stripes.

And this is the Bee Lady Bag I made a few years ago from wool.  We've been having a lot of fun with the wool scraps lately.   What we like about it.  No rules! You just do what you want.  No patterns (although I do have some books) you just do your own thing!

I hope some of you can make it to Groovy Girl Yarn today between 1:00 - 6:00 to make something wooly and have some fun.  I'll bring some home made cookies!
