I LOVE a PARADE!

Guess what this is for?  A parade!  That's what!
Vickie, Trent and I spent some time
decorating my car.

while my Sister and her friends rounded up the packages!

My Sister and Trent cut out and wrapped these boxes ahead of time.

Check out this cute little man with his decorated car, stealing the show!
I must say,
I became a bit sentimental when the marching band started up. I was in the band in high school.

Here we are waiting on the parade to start.

The lady in the green hat is the Noblesville Trustee, and My Sister's MIL.
This is my Sister's family (below)
One thing we didn't think of, we couldn't get out of the car once those signs were on the door!
Off we go...the presents walking behind us, passing out candy.

I just told someone the other day that I don't get excited about much anymore.  But I have to say, I was excited about this parade.  Not beforehand...not until I saw the band, heard the music, saw the people lined among the streets....
Then I got excited!  (the battery on his little car ran out about half way through the parade)
 I had a great time.
Just look at all of those people!
Don't you just love a parade?  I do!

Two things to tell you besides the parade.....

Pray for our town.  They are talking about a winter storm coming through tonight and tomorrow.  I am so concerned about 1) the tornado victims, who have no roofs on their homes, or no home and 2) losing power.

  1. Cindy, I always worry about losing power , since we moved to the country...I never worried as much in town...cause you could let your water trickle and it would not freeze. But in the country you need power to get water. I pray for good old Kokomo, the last thing they need right now is ice or snow. I think floods in spring and the tornado and now maybe ice/snow...it's too much for a struggling town. I hope I can stop by Patti's on our way home from the bazaar at Sharpsville methodist church...it's Sat. also. Blessings dear Cindy, you all looked very cute in the parade. xoxox,Susie

    1. Hi Susie,

Thanks for praying for our town. It worked! We didn't get anything last night...maybe later today...but no ice. I know what you mean. We lost power a couple of times in town, but never for four days. Although, where we lived in town, is where the tornado hit! So, glad I'm out here.

  3. Batten down the hatches. We're expecting strong winds and exceptionally high tides on the east coast tonight. My prayers are with all those affected by the weather wherever they are. Philippa xx

    1. Great prayer Philippa. There are people with much worse weather than ours.

  4. Hoping that storm passes you by - it's just skirting the south waste St. Louis right now and we seem to be escaping the worst. What is it with big weather and this country?!

    Take care!

P.s. The parade looked like fun!!

    1. The parade was a lot of fun. Fiona, I don't know what it is...but it does seem anymore that somewhere, someone is always getting hit by some sort of big weather. I watched the weather last night on tv and kept my eye on your area. You ok?
