I had another post almost ready to go, but I decided to join in the
that was going to motivate me to finish some projects...
remember...
I joined it a few weeks ago....
and did it one time.
I just keep on starting new projects....
I'll finish something someday...
I will I promise!
still not finished....almost, though....and those Marie Claire mags...do they come in English? I love them, but I don't speak French. It's one of the times I don't feel guilty about looking at the pics and not reading the articles! But every now and then, I look over to read the article and no can do.
So the garter stitch scarf lasted about an evening...then I had to try something that has been on my mind for awhile...I was staying in a cabin, I had the time to think, and my creative juices were flowing.
This yarn along is about what you are reading and what you are knitting or crocheting.
I had this cute mystery book I was reading. It's one of those Berkley Crime Mystery Series books, and this is the first in the series. The reason I bought it should be obvious! It's about a beekeeper. It has tips in it about beekeeping, and a few recipes too. It took me awhile to get into the mystery part of it, but I did, and will probably get the second one in the series.
The candy corn colored yarn....I knew it wasn't an unfinished project. It was something I had mentioned to one of my crochet friends....hmmm, come to think of it, I think she might be my only crochet friend now....and she had told me to "get on it."
"K" are we it? Is it just us two?
Anyway, I made several sizes....small ones for bunting...which are finished, except for the stringing along! (jeeeeesh, I know!)
Big ones for dishcloths.
Apparently dishcloths have been on my mind.
Why? You ask... well...
*I think of Sugar and Cream yarn as dishcloth yarn. And I have a stash. Big stash. It's what I used to use when I was learning a new stitch. Then I'd have a dishcloth out of my new stitch.
* My candy corn colored yarn is Sugar and Cream, hence, dishcloth yarn.
*And my blogger friend, Mel from Day to Day just had a huge dishcloth exchange, and giveaway. Go check out her dishcloth post. LOVELY dishcloths. Flowers and stars and stripes and such.
And I won one of her give away dishcloths! I haven't received it yet, but when I do I will post it on the next yarn along.
So, I decided to pay it forward.
I'm giving away one of my candy corn dishcloths!
Just leave a comment and you will be entered to win! I'll pick a winner next Tuesday, and post it on Wednesday!
Cindy Bee
PS. The wooden bowl was a $2.00 find at a garage sale in Brown County!
Wow I wish you lived closer you can help me with this whole knitting thing I seem to be enjoying it more than I thought. I finally figured out how to cast off myself OK you helped thank you and then I started a scarf for My Hero even if it is ugly he said he would wear it:) I cast on by myself.
