Thoughts and Prayers are appreciated

I know. It's been awhile. Here's the thing...I always say people don't want to read the bad stuff on blogs...so I just didn't blog. But folks, I'm in need of thoughts and prayers. Besides a couple of health issues that I'm having, of which I will tell you about after I see the Doctor, my Mother-in-Law fell and broke her hip. Surgery will probably be sometime tonight. I can't remember if she's 88 or 89. I've already been warned by one of my nurse friends that it's going to be a long, rough road for her and us. And she is in a lot of pain. When we left last night they were giving her morphine.
I feel like crying at the moment.
But I'm not going to.
Chin-up dammittohell!
I am tired of stress.
I have a Dr. appt. this morning and I need to go vote. And for those of you thinking about not voting, women were chained, beaten, and died while fighting for your right to vote. Just sayin'. And if that doesn't guilt you into it, maybe this will. Once an aquaintenance of mine lost by one vote. I'm ashamed to tell you I didn't vote that year. I was so ashamed of myself that when I saw him the next time, I put my head down and pretended I didn't see him. But since that time I have learned, one vote does count. I had another friend running for a position and I did vote for him. He won by two votes. I like to think one of those was mine! Didn't mean to get off track, but I feel like voting is important!

So anyway, I am going to do whatever I can to try to de-stress and stay positive, because right now the Holiday season isn't starting out so well. I am guessing our house-building will be on hold for awhile. My Shug was home a total of 15 minutes last night. He came home from working at the house, after working all day, he started to eat, and we got the call. When we finally got home it was around 10:45 pm. We went to bed. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

And on an unstressful, positive note, here is what I was going to show you.

Our local mall has all of these beautifully decorated Christmas trees in it.

I just happened to be there the other day, not even realizing the trees were there.

Local organizations decorate them,

people vote on their favorite,

then the trees are auctioned off.

The proceeds go to local charities.

It's a Winter Wonderland of Christmas trees,

and who can not smile looking at this wish-nik village!
I want one!

  8. Sorry to hear about your MIL, Cindy. It's horrible when you get that call, isn't it? Happened to us two years ago when exactly the same thing happened - my MIL fell and broke her hip. She was in agony but the surgery was successful and she was up and about quite quickly and playing golf again 6 months afterwards. I hope things go as smoothly for your MIL and that your doctor's appointment goes well and you manage to sort out your health issues too.

I also believe voting is essential - for everyone. It really gets up my nose when people moan about politicians when they haven't bothered to cast a vote.

Sending you lots of positive thoughts.

  10. Cindy Bee,
I'm sorry about your MIL, and yes it will be a long haul. It's a bummer.

Sending you good thoughts and prayers especially for your doctors visit. One suggestion (being that I'm a medical assistant) bring a list of your 'worries' and meds. It's helps you remember what the heck you wanted to talk about.

Thank you for showing the beautiful trees....just lovely.

    Peace to you
    Julie
