In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Italy stuff

Remember the other day when I said Peggy sent me these blank books
so I could journal my trip. I kind of knew what I was going to do to dress them up, but I finally took the time to do it. Here is what the front looks like...

and here is what the back looks like. Have you ever seen the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun?" There is a scene in the movie where Diane Lane writes a post card for this guy who is having a hard time writing. He wanted it written to his Mom. I re-wrote that same post card...

but I'm wondering...should I sign it, "Love Rodney" like in the movie, or Love Cindy Bee. I did copy it word for word from the movie. And who's address should I put on it?

And guess what I did? I went garage sailing with my friend, Teresa. And I found this...

for $1.00.

I told Teresa I was going to give it to someone as a souvenir from Italy!

She started laughing and said, "Don't give it to me, I know where you got it from!"

I probably won't be able to blog in Italy because I am not taking my laptop. Maybe you can talk my sister into letting me blog from her Ipad. Maybe if you say real nice things to her, she'll let me, at least once....or twice....or maybe she'll even do a post....or two.

  1. Hey Cindy Bee! I have been somewhat busy this week and am trying to catch up with everyone. I love Under the Tuscan Sun. I own it and probably have watched it at least 7 or 8 times. Sign it Cindy Bee, because Rodney did not appreciate the writing skills of the author at all. Love you are having fun with all of this. And if you reading sister of Cindy Bee, please let her send us all a little note once or twice while your all off on your adventure! Take turns smiling for the camera in front of some wonderful sites to share with all of us back here in the states!

  2. Cindy, my advice is enjoy your holiday and completely forget about blogging. Then you get to re-live it all when you blog about it on your return. There is just so much to see and do in Italy - don't miss a second of it. Have fun!

  6. We will miss you but I think you should not worry about us. Enjoy your family, enjoy Italia, enjoy the gelatto, the scenery, journal and take lots of pictures.

We'll wait patiently, this may be the only time you get there, so take it all in.

I loved 'under the tuscan sun' and maybe YOU'LL find a house to move too...haha

    Have a wonderful time!

  7. Oh Brenda.....great reminder to 'get in the pictures Cindy'. The photographers rarely are seen in pic.

    Glad she said that....

  8. Hey everyone thanks for the comments, ideas, suggestions, etc. I imagine I'll just go with the flow. I'll think of y'all...I always do. It's funny because I go somewhere and see something and think...Oh, I bet 'so and so' would like that...or that reminds me of my blogger friend 'X', even though I don't really even 'know' you! So anyway, we leave tomorrow morning. Say a prayer for us!
