Chocolate trail and a date!

A friend and I went to the town my Sister lives in the other day to go on a "chocolate trail."  The way it works is you go to every participating store, 14 in all, and all downtown within walking distance, and get a flyer stamped.  When you get all the stamps, then you take it to the final destination and enter for some door prizes.
Well, my friend hasn't been out of the house in awhile....and she was like a bird out of a cage!  We decided to leave early and go out to eat for lunch.  Then pre-shop, before the chocolate trail.  She bought a hot new purse, and check out those pumps!

She did not buy the shoes, she was just playing around trying them on.  As a matter of fact, she did not even dare take a step in the shoes above!
Most of the stores in this town sell vintage items, so I don't think these shoes were new.
As we walked along the chocolate trail, talking, shopping, eating and drinking....every store had something chocolate whether it was home made, store bought, chocolate martini, chocolate wine, or chocolate chocolate!  My sister ended up using her phone for a dessert tray!
Here we all are outside, in the alley by the farmers market, waiting to see if we are winners.
We were not (sad face).

Then, Friday night my Shug said he wanted to go out!  WHAT???  Me?  Go out?  Two nights in a row!  Out of town two nights in a row!  So we went to a town about an hour away to a casino that has horse racing.
Bbbabaabaaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baa bababa baaaaaa. (trumpet playing)
We ate at the buffet...
and watched the horse races.  It was a lot of fun.  We tried to place a bet (we had a free $2.00 coupon LOL!) but they said we had to go around the corner to a booth and give them a drivers license, then get a card, then come back and give this lady our drivers license and the card and blah blah blah.  She lost me at "go around the corner."  We did not bet on the horses.

But this warm bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a big winner!
