Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

So, the day after Thanksgiving I decided not to go Black Friday shopping.  I used to go, and probably will again.  This year I wasn't feeling well, and was tired.  I HAD to get some sleep.  But on Thanksgiving evening my cousin texted me and asked if I wanted to go shopping later in the day.  Sure, as long as I don't have to get up early.  We walked into one store and they had pillows on sale for $2.97!  Now, we are finishing up our two extra bedrooms.  I decided we needed new pillows for those new bedrooms!  And Vickie needed a couple.  You should have seen us trying to hold ten pillows in line!  The carts were gone.  Finally, I saw a lady checking out that had a cart.  I went up to her and asked her if I could have it when she was finished.  Even then....we had to hold on to them.  It was hilarious. And we didn't get to the store until around 11:00 and they still had this deal.
My Shug and I went to Lowe's and bought a tree this year.  We used to go to a Christmas tree farm, but some of their trees got mold, so we started going to Lowe's.  They have a lot of choices, pretty good prices, and they bag them for you which makes them a lot easier to handle.
As many of you know we lived in our basement in one room for 3 1/2 years.  I told my Shug when we got out of that basement I was going to buy the biggest and prettiest tree I could find.
This year I did!

I had to help him carry it in, it was so heavy!

I love it!

I also bought an advent calendar which I think is just beautiful.

Have you got your tree up yet?

  1. We're going to get our tree today, we're behind because of our trip to NYC. Your tree is beautiful.

  2. Our tree is up, I love this time of year

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to leave a comment on my blog. I enjoy reading them. I hope you have a wonderful day.
