Things are moving along nicely with the Easter dessert preparations. These will be adorable when I'm finished with them, thanks to a Pinterest idea.
The eggs are getting stuffed...
This is a very simple marshmallow dipping recipe that I made about 30 years ago with regular marshmallows. I decided to give it a try with some peeps. The recipe was on a Kraft marshmallow bag. You take 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of peanut butter and melt them. You can dip the marshmallows in ground nuts (of your choice) if you want to. I'm planning on putting them on sucker sticks. It takes quite a while for the chocolate to harden so don't panic. And wax paper works better than foil.White chocolate with pastel coloring would have been adorable, but at this point....I'm just dipping the chocolate.
I made some cobblers (strawberry and black raspberry) another recipe I found on Pinterest. Here is the recipe What? I'm not typing it all out! I don't have time! Click on the word recipe. I will say I haven't tasted them yet though so I'll let you know after tomorrow.
I might be adding in some Florida succulents or some violas for color on the table for color. (I know they aren't really Florida succulents, but they are to me. I bought them on vacay in Florida. You can buy them anywhere.)
Sorry Wendyroomcreations....I had to throw out the balloon eggs. I just don't have time to 'cry over spilled milk' girlfriend...I got stuff to do!
