Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

A couple of weeks ago I commented on a blog.
And truth be told, I completely forgot that I entered a give-away when I commented.
Then what to my wondering eyes did appear~an e-mail from Connie at Crafty Home Cottage
 I WON I WON!
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner...is what we say.
Who knows why...
So I won a $25.00 Amazon gift card.  And I decided I was going to order some books.
No surprise there.....Books, yarn and purses....are my addictions.

I thought I'd show you all what I got with my gift card...ok I might have added a tiny bit with it.

Who doesn't love Tilda and all of her sweety cuteness?
I have a couple of her books, of which I've never made a thing out of, but someday........
I thought this dog was just adorable!  Who doesn't love a book with a cute dog in it?
Whale pillows?  maybe.....what?   I like them.  I think they'd be cute on a bed.
Popsicle pin cushion...which would also be cute as a tree ornament.
Now, I don't know about all of you, but I enjoy Molly Makes magazines so I thought this might be a good book to have.  I also enjoy hanging such items as birds in my tree that is inside our suite that we are living in.  My tree that I grew from a seed, that was from a fruit that someone picked from a tree several years ago in Charleston, SC.

You are probably wondernng what this afghan has to do with birds....Look closely.
 Bird grannies!
 Owl bunting...
 A french press wrap.
This pattern would also be cute somewhere other than on a french press, since I don't use mine. Maybe a pillow.  Does anyone out there use a french press?  As a matter of fact, what kind of coffee pots do you use?
And lastly, this book, which I'm gonna love.

This above doily isn't a doily at all, it's a rug!  Whodathunkit?
Another owl bunting.  I see owl bunting in my future.
Snowflake bunting.  Gasp!  I just got an idea  My MIL made several snowflakes for me one year, and I stick a rubber thingy on them with a hook and put them on my windows in the winter.  I'm thinking....turn them into bunting.  What do you think?
Russian nesting dolls!  Cute, they really nest.

Thank you Connie for the lovely gift.  This winter I do hope to have some time to enjoy some more crafting.

Right now, I'm still extracting honey and painting.  And trying to figure out what to do about some paint issues.  Help me decide please.... Pop on over to the house blog....what a mess.

Then, pop over and say Hi to Connie.  She is going through a rough time right now.  Her little Butchy dog was mauled by another dog and I feel so sorry for the poor little guy.

  1. Looks like you spent your voucher well!! Some cute projects!

Coffee pots ... we have an Italian espresso pot that you put on the stove to make really strong coffee. It was a wedding present and we still use it from time to time. Back in Germany we have a fully automatic coffee machine - put coffee beans in the back and it grinds them and brews a lovely cup of coffee, but that won't work over here so we're looking at different options. Quite a lot of coffee is consumed in this household!

  2. Well done on your win!!
Percolator at breakfast, French press the remainder of the day. Nothing smells as good as when the hot water hits the beans in a French press!

  4. Hi Cindy, just read your comment on m blog. Thank you for stopping by and taking time to do so. For some reason milk glass is the in thing now. If only I would have kept all the pieces my mom had, I wouldn't have to hunt for some now. Glad you found some goodies at the estate sales. Will you be posting them on your blog or do you do youtube videos? Jill just started doing videos, so glad to see new faces and new projects. Your home looks beautiful so far. Can't wait it see it completely done and what you guys have done with it. Ana
