In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Crochet Thursday

I realized last night that it's been awhile since I've posted about our crochet group.  First of all, we no longer meet on Tuesdays.
We now meet on Thursdays from 3-6.  And I haven't seen any ripples in awhile.  But here are some fun things we've been working on.  I have been on a hat making kick.

"K" made this cutie patootie.. It's a gift for her granddaughter for Valentines Day.    You can find the pattern here.
Now Kathy has been making this blanket but her yarn was all in a tangled mess...so she spent most of the evening untangling yarn!

Groovy Girl is making a wrap apron that she plans on wearing at the Winter Woolen Workshop.
"K" is also making these squares, for her own personal blankey, that no one else can use.  Not even her grand...well maybe her grand.  No one else though.....It's hers I tell ya.  All hers.
So, about the hat kick I'm on.   Remember this slouch hat...
 And this hat....

 and this one....

They are all the same pattern.  And I'm teaching how to make this on Tuesday, February 12th, from 12:00 - 3:00 at Groovy Girl Yarn.  See side bar for more details. (in a minute...I haven't posted it in the side bar yet, but I will...as soon as I'm done with this post)

Have you been crocheting anything lately?

  1. Still working on the ripple for the 1 year birthday in May. I kinda got tired of it and am doing some hand stitching for a while. I will go back to it this weekend. Maybe I will get far enough to post a pic of it next week. Love the hat! I don't really look great in hats but I love them!

I enjoyed the story of your neighbor lady, that you left on my comments. What a wonderful thing, saying she loved hearing Shug's cycle start up. Bless her soul.xoxo,Susie
