It's this time of year when I'm just over winter. I actually don't mind the snow until....oooohhhh..... December 26, then I'm ready for Spring!
Sometimes when I really can't stand it anymore, I grow stuff. It's my 'thing'. I don't know what I'm going to do this year without my potting shed. But I'll figure it out. Right now, I'm forcing branches. Lot's of them. See the tiny little buds starting to pop from the forsythia!
And a couple of weeks ago I found a dried pepper from a plant I bought on THIS garden trip. I bought it at Prairie Trail Herb Farm, which was up for sale last year. Don't know what ever happened to it. If I were younger, I'd have an herb farm here...where I'm living now. Anyway, I dropped the seeds in a pot with some soil and I'm growing peppers. They are not edible. They are ornamental. I'll keep you posted on the progress. I am craving gardening.

What great ideas, I'm going to have to try this! Winter, blah, it needs to go away now.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a bit tired of winter too. Silly really as I look forward to it all year so I can use all of the cosy blankets that I've made over the years! Thanks for popping over to my blog, glad you like my birds!xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so over winter ... I need some warm, spring sunshine! I'll leave the gardening to you - I'm not very good at it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have better luck with forcing than I did. I tried for apple blossoms....the less sad about that sorry looking lot of 'blossoms', the better!

Cindy, You look as if you know what your are doing. Those plants look good. I am pretty sick of winter and being in the house so much. But I am praying our spring and summer are nice ones. Not scorching heat. How's the bees doing?? xoxo,Susie
