A Fall Feast for the eys!

I thought I'd so you some pictures of some fall eye candy!

All of the above pictures were taken at Oliver Winery in Southern Indiana.

We decided to go on our annual trip to Nashville/Brown County, Indiana.  We have always stayed in Brown County State Park but this year we waited to get reservations and ended up staying at this hotel in town.  It's not bad as far as the room goes.  It's a small suite, but we learned something.  When you call and ask if there is a pool and/or hot tub, I guess you need to ask if they are working!  The hot tub, which is what my Shug likes, isn't working.  And some guy told him it wasn't working last year either.  My guess is....it won't be working next year either!  (probably won't come back to place)

Had to watch this guy carve a bear with a chainsaw.  Nashville, IN is a very quaint, artsy town.  Lots and lots of cabins and hills and woods.

This is the outside of one of my favorite stores.  It's called Michaels.

You can see why...lots of old garden-y stuff.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts on my last post.  I go back to the Dr. Tuesday.  This is weird in that it comes and goes.  He wants me to go on drugs, and I don't want to, so we'll see.  I think if it isn't something too serious, I'll live with it as long as I can, and keep praying it goes away.  I love blogland and bloggers for being such caring people.  Thanks.

Are we about there?

Here is my groovy hat and hand-warmers I made out of fiber that I spun into yarn years ago.   I bought the fiber at a weaving studio in Brown County, IN.  A slouch hat and hand-warmers seem to fit in with Brown County atmosphere.  I finished it just in time for our annual trek to Brown County.
And here is why it takes us six to seven hours to make a 2 1/2 hour drive!

We have to stop for pie at Gray Bros. cafeteria.
Best pecan pie ever!  I mean EVER!
We have to stop at Oliver Winery...
and take a selfie by the pond.
And say Hi to Oliver the toad! (teehee)
 Then My Shug walks around...
 ..and waits....
...and waits....(he's there...look through the bottom of the window)
while I get a lot of undivided attention at the wine bar!  It wasn't very busy and they were very generous with their wine tastings today!
Of course I had to take pictures of the beautiful fall colors

and get some more ideas for my list of fun things to grow!
We made a couple more unplanned stops, and finally made it to Brown County, after stopping at IGA for cheese and crackers to go with that wine!

Have a nice evening and enjoy this weather and the fall colors!

Oliver Winery

My Shug and I are on our annual get away to Brown County/Nashville, Indiana.  It is such a popular place in the fall, you have to make reservations a year in advance.  We've already made them for next year.  We've been coming here for years.  We stopped at Oliver Winery on the way here and I thought you might enjoy some pictures of it.  It's the oldest and largest winery in Indiana.

We did a little bit of tasting.
Mom & Dad are staying in our basement, watching the boys.  Wish them luck.
Here they are watching us leave.  (sniff sniff- so cute)
By the way - TAA DAAAA!!!   Just look at that clean table, will ya!
