PIctures of Charleston, South Carolina

As you know, my Shug and I went on a last minute vacation to Charleston, South Carolina.  If you like old mansions (many still owned my family members, passed down from generation to generation), history (it is where the "war of Northern agression" as the South calls it, started.  Us Northerners call it the Civil War), architecture, iron-work, bricks (you know I love me some bricks!) and gardens, then I would recommend Charleston.  However, right now is the hot, humid, rainy season.  We left the area a day early because of Tropical Storm Andrea.  I would recommend going in March or April.

So here's what happened.  We went for a relaxing get away.  We both needed a break.  The short version is this....  I came home from vacation to find my Aunt Esther passed away, on Sunday.  The same day we got home.  My Mom and I were going to be watching my ten year old niece and her friend because they are up here for a soccer camp. Because of the death, and the fact that it was my Pa's Sister that passed, and he is/was power of attorney, I ended up with the girls.  They were here within a couple of hours of us getting home.  Just today, Thursday, I am doing our first load of laundry.   So, once again, life has been hectic.

I was looking forward to this morning.  I was taking a break, and going to blog.  But here is what happened.   I went to download my pictures from my phone and instead of the pictures downloading, my phone sinced with my old phone on Itunes and all of my vacation pictures on my phone have been replaced with my old pics from my old phone.  My messages are gone, my e-mail won't work, wi-fi won't connect...blah blah blah.  I want to cry.  I am in such a mood that I could throw this computer, my i-phone, and a whole bunch of other stuff into the creek.  Instead, I'm going to at&t to see if they can help me with my phone, once again.

So I leave you with some pictures I took on my point and shoot camera that I am not even going to bother editing.  I'll probably screw them up.  Someday I hope to get back to normal.   I really do.

I hope you enjoyed them.

  1. Yes, I did enjoy them! The place looks kind of genteel, and some of the buildings look French.
