Birthday Celebrations at Wolfies!

Last Friday evening, my sister invited me to come hang with her and her friends, and celebrate their brithdays.  Her and Christy have been friends forever and they celebrate their birthdays the entire month of August.  And come to think of it, it wasn't even August yet!
They were at Wolfie's Bar & Grill listening to a really good band called The Bishops.
Wolfie's is right on a lake and it was a PERFECT evening.

The Celebration!
Here you can see them holding their bags that I brought to them, into the bar, for their birthday surprise!

Cheers!
 hmmm...what did you get?
I don't know what did you get?
"Wow...a 70's macrame' pot hanger....just what I always wanted."  You can see the excitement on her face!
 LOL!!!!
(OH my gosh I am laughing so hard right now looking at this picture!)

I'm eleven years older than my sister.  I'm a 70's girl.  These two are 80's kids.
They were not groovy!
I was, still am, and try to show them how 'far out' 70's people are!

Hope you both have Groovy Birthdays!

Cindy

PS.  This was actually LAST Friday (not last night).  Last night my friend Teresa came over and hung out.  Fun Friday's is what we are calling them.  Well, neither one of us have our rooms finished yet, but we are working on them!

Celebrations!

THANK YOU MOM AND DAD for the help!  I just heard from the VA appraiser and the house has passed all inspections...and so has the potting shed.  (Time for me to update the house blog, but I'm not at home, and it took me about an hour to download these few pics.  I think they are on dial-up here!  Where you ask?  I'll tell ya later...I must finish last week first!)
I got the potting shed finished just in time to clean up and go to crochet group.  I started making my brother one of those long tailed hats we had in the 60's with the tassel on the end.  Only I decided it needed to have some stripy colors mixed in, so I ripped it out.
I canned some more apples.  I tell ya, it takes a lot of apples to get four quart jars.  I did two batches, along with housework, and making apple crisp for birthday desserts.
This isn't a great picture...but you can see our family went out to eat at at place called Pizzaology(something like that)
And Joey, on the right end told us he passed the bar!!!!  He is now a lawyer!  He needs a lawyer job.  And Adrienne, on the left end, told us she is pregnant!!!!!  I'm going to be a great Aunt again!  YAY!  And Theresa was being all serious getting our names ready to draw for Christmas!
DONE!  (Doesn't Lorri have two r's in her name?)
This is the best pizza I have had since Italy!
I was just trying to get one good picture of these guys.
To replace an old picture I have in a frame at home.  Didn't happen.  It's their birthdays.  My Shug on the left is October 8, my BIL (Sisters Husband) in the center October 7, and my Bro October 5.
And this is my sister acting all happy and ready to serve dessert.  Truth is, I opened her cabinet and three mugs fell out and broke.  Yikes!  But not my fault.  And things kind of went downhill from there...

but it was all in fun!  Happy Birthday to the boys.
Happy Passing the Bar to my Nephew -in-Law?  (is that what he's called?)
Happy Pregnancy to my Niece.  (Pray for her to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.  There has been complications)
AND Happy House Passing Inspection.

WE HAVE A LOT TO CELEBRATE!

PS - After I cleaned the house, canned apples, made apple crisp, celebrated birthdays...I packed.  I'm outta here!!!!

Now THIS is what I'm talking about......

 A perfect day.....and it isn't over yet!
We have a lot of lilacs blooming and I picked a bunch and brought them in our house (room!).  Even picked a bouquet of them for Mom...It's her birthday!
Can you smell 'em?   I can!

Come over, I'll pick a bouquet for you too!
And I got my car back today!  It doesn't match perfect...but it will...give it a year or two to fade.  I wonder how long I can keep this baby.  It's a 1999!

Mom came over and I taught her how to crochet a ripple blanket.  She bought some yarn the other day at Groovy Girl Yarn.  She did a whole row on my blankey and By Joe I think she's got it!
Dad went fishing while Mom crocheted.  And as you can see, the weather is PERFECT!
 Is it a keeper?
 Guess not.
 Happy Birthday Mom!
Dad said this is too much excitement for him.

 And while I'm mentioning birthdays....
Vickie's birthday was Saturday, and Theresa (my Sis) and Vickie and I went out to eat and to a movie on Sunday to celebrate.
She got in trouble for bringing a Stitches n Scones bag into Groovy Girl yarn during the super bowl party so I got her a new yarn bag!
I also got her a Suzy Q cake!
Yes it is Hostess!  I froze them.  They are (were?) her fave.
And while we are wishing Happy B-days today....let's not forget about Mom's TWIN brother, Uncle Jerry.  He's on the left in this picture. (above)  He wasn't feeling to well today (sad face)
And see this guy...on the left.  It's Vickie's son Ryan, and his birthday is Today too!

Happy Birthday
MOM
UNCLE JERRY
RYAN
and Belated to Vickie!!!

It's a PERFECT DAY to CELEBRATE!
