Hi everyone!

- Painted more trim
- Baked, cooked, cleaned, packed dinner for my Shug, paid bills, mopped, scoured, scrubbed
- Completely closed out my MIL's estate (it's been a year)
- Planted an herb garden (getting my mojo back?)
- Had surgery on my arm (ouch)
- Got my hairs cut (apparently not enough because My Shug never noticed)
- Painted trim
Not necessarily in that order......
And I'm going to talk about ALL OF IT!
Here's the thing....... I've missed blogging. But I had to let something go in order to not lose my sanity. I had a couple of blog posts, with pics, ready to go but I could not find the words to go with the pics. When that happens to me (you know, the not finding the words part!) I know I best slow down. ***I LEARNED A LONG TIME AGO IF WE DO NOT TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES, WE ARE NO GOOD FOR ANYONE ELSE***
We finished our big room TODAY. When we started our big room, well that was about the time I quit blogging. I appreciate the questions, comments, and concerns. I am going to try to get back into it.
But I'm doing things a bit different.
I'm going to keep the posts short and sweet. I'm going to blog every chance I get. Maybe more than once a day! Remember...short and sweet (i hope)
And for now, I'll only be commenting on those blogs that comment on my blog. It's the only way I'm going to be able to keep up for awhile. We still have the foyer to finish! And I laid down the law that I want this level of the house finished by summer. I'm TIRED of living in construction. For us to finish it by summer....which is in a few days....I have to help (keep him on track!).
And thank you Kirsty from Rural, Retreat, Restoration
for nominating me for the Liebster Blog Award. It was so nice of you to do so, then I drop the ball and quit blogging. I sure didn't plan it that way. It just happened.
Now, I'm going to take a break and go sit on the porch for a few minutes with my Shug. Then hopefully, return and update the House on Hilltop Farm blog.
Peace,
Cindy Bee
That is a very long list of achievements, I can understand why you needed to take a break. I popped over to take a look at your home, such a wonderful achievement.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I appreciate the understanding. I will say My Shug and I are both very tired of being so busy. When we finish this last room we are taking a long break.
DeleteNo wonder you needed to take a break, you've certainly been busy. I hate any sort of DIY or decorating, in fact, our living room is being decorated at the moment and I'm keeping well out of the way and leaving it up to Mick. Nearly done now though, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo,
DeleteI don't mind the DIY but we have been working on this house for several years now and living in it too. I am ready to get my life settled down a bit.
Wow - I'm exhausted just reading that Cindy! Your mud room / office looks fantastic, so it's all worthwhile and a great reason not to blog .... I'm still neglecting my blog but hoping to get back to it once I get over the surgery to my arm that I had last month.
