In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

First of all, about the picture thing from my last post. When you first open the page that you download pictures on, if you look in the right bottom corner it will tell you how much picture space you have left.

And I cannot post without pictures. I just can't. I've taken pics since I was in high school...probably would have in grade school if I would have been given a camera. I even took a class on developing pics...back in the day when we developed them!

Have you ever listened to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy? Well listen. Click on listen. Are you listening?

We went to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Conner Prairie on Sunday Evening. We had a blast. Everyone brought tons of food, wine, and a good mood! The weather was perfect. Some of us even went down by the stage and danced. See the people dancing up front? How can you not with this music! There were around 18 of us. And for awhile another couple came over and sat with us. He works with my Shug and sent me a text asking where we were. They found us...amongst all the people.
And check this out....a friend of mine I went to school with from grade school to high school found us too!

We're both Cindy's (see all the people in the background)

My niece and her Mom ( My Sister) My niece was getting in trouble and I had to annoy her by taking a pic! Well, doesn't happen very often!

And these two unruly boys.....drinking.......grape juice!!!! I LOVE all these kids!

Are you still listening? Don't you just love this music? I do. I just puts you in a happy dancy mood all day long!

Treasures and Crafty stuff

I have been garage sailing once in the last month and a half, and I've been to the flea market twice, so I thought I'd show you a few of my treasures. Granny Bees are gonna want these wool coats! Thing is, the two green ones fit me, so I'm not sure I'll be able to cut them up. (the color is off in the pics...the left one is green and the middle one is yellow)

This shirt does not fit, but I had to buy it! Take a closer look. It's made completely out of vintage embroidered linens.

This is Gertie. I bought her at a flea market. My friends convinced me I needed her in one of the bathrooms of my new house, holding hand towels or something. Maybe an extra roll of t.p?

I'm a sucker for vintage luggage.

and wooden spools of thread...

and boxes. I liked the lid.

My friend went sailing while I picked up rocks last Friday, and she bought me this yarn. It's oreo heart acrylic and she knows I don't like that type of yarn, but she liked the colors. So do I. I'm thinking....a banner...or do you call it bunting? Or do the English call it bunting...who knows...but you know what I mean, right?

And these pens....I made them. Well I didn't make the pens, I wrapped the pens in clay and baked them. Pretty cool huh? I decided the only crafty projects I am doing right now are ones that I can actually finish.

Now I have a question for you. I have used 90% of my space for pics on my blog. What do I do when I run out of space? HELP?

Crochet Council

I'm back!!! And I hope to get caught up in my blog reading this week. To see what I've been up to you can check this post out. We have been working VERY HARD on our house. The only thing I did all week besides work at the house, cook, clean, and feed the dogs was attend my first ever crochet council meeting. I read about these councils last year, on other blogs, but was never invited to attend. There was much discussion as to whether or not I should be allowed, being a knitter and all, but they finally relented, and I was granted admittance. And I do crochet btw. Since it was our first meeting we all brought our own thing to work on, but at the next meeting we will be making hand warmers. For this meeting I brought an afghan that I said I was finishing BY THIS WEEKEND, and by golly I did. I'll show it to you later. Back to council...

They served up bacon and cinnamon rolls - yum.

I had to learn the councils motto which is, "Saving the world one crochet stitch at a time." (something like that)

While the Scribe made hand warmers and this flower,

and Reality Jayne made granny squares for a scarf,

I did a little snooping around the house...with my phone (I forgot my camera) And the best thing I learned that day was when I said...."I hate it that I forgot my camera, it's such a pain to go upstairs, get my wire to plug my phone in to my computer, come back downstairs, and download the pics" and Scribe said, "just mail them to yourself!" WHAT? of course, why didn't I think of that? Well because when I took pics with my other phone I had to download them, and I am a creature of habit.

While snooping I saw this! Seriously RJ, do you think that I thought you made this bag (snicker-snicker)

Rosie was bored by it all.

PS - I had fun!
