In my blog I plan to chat about nature, crafts, baking, gardening, beekeeping, family, and whatever else seems appropriate at the time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

A few nice and proud moments!

A friend of mine got this for me for no reason except she thought I "Needed it" to cheer me up.

This is the oldest of the two boys I watched from the time they were babies!!!!  Teng and his Mom!  He graduated from High School!  (We had a gathering for him a couple of weeks ago, I will show you on another day!)  I am SO PROUD of him!  And I can't believe he graduated from high school already.  Just yesterday he was grabbing my leg as I would walk through the living room and let me drag him across the hardwood floor!
 Teng and his brother!
 Teng and his Dad!

This tree frog hung around our patio for weeks.  I kept talking to him and taking pictures and such, and I can't find "him?" anymore....but there are about a dozen baby tree frogs on our patio now!
Us "kids" got Mom some tickets for Mother's Day to see faux' "Frank Sinatra" in concert and My Shug and I went along.  It was a fantastic concert.
After the show, you could go through the line and shake hands and say Hi with the people in the show.  I did not know that.  I was talking to someone in the hallway, and the young lady second from the left waved me over to the line. I walked right up to her not realizing until after that I was cutting through a line....it was a crowded hallway....anyway.....
I said, "Amanda you have grown into a beautiful young lady and you have a fabulous voice."
She said, "yeah I've come along way from Away in a Manger haven't I?"
I said, "you sure have!"  And she said.....

"I want you to know that you were the first person to ever put me on a stage to sing a solo, and I haven't stopped singing on stage since!"

I used to work at a church as the director of the Children's programs back when she was in about third grade.  We did a Christmas program and she sang a solo.  I remember her being very nervous but she did a beautiful job.  I was so proud of her then, and am very proud of her now.

Part II of Bachelorette party

So....Vickie, Ashley's Mom, still had her very own bridal veil from when she married Ashley's Dad.  We wanted Ashley to wear it into the casino, but Noooooooooooo!  I think she looks a little bit Madonna-ish in it, don't you?  Not Vogue Madonna, but Mother Mary Madonna.
So we threw her in jail.  Ashley Bashley, you shoulda worn it!
Now, if you ever want to laugh until you cry....tie a banana to a rope,
then wrap the rope around your waist with the banana hanging close to the ground,
then see how far you can get the ball across the room by swinging the banana,
but you are not allowed to touch the rope with your hands.
I was afraid someone was gonna break a hip I tell ya!
We also played a game where you had to guess if the name my sister was giving you was the name of nail polish, or the name of a porn movie!
Such as
Topless and Barefoot
Peach Side Babe
Private Weekend (what color do you think that is?)
Sugar Daddy
Debbie does Dallas
My Very First Knockwurst
Don't Pretzel my Buttons
Deutsch You Want me Baby
Now Which ones are porn  movies and which ones are nail polish!

So, my sister and I were losers all the way around!
But we had a great time!

And my sister who claims to not be crafty made up these cute little goody bags for everyone.

We had a great time at the bachelorette party!  Wish you could have joined us.
Wish my computer knew how to spell bachelorette because I don't and it keeps wanting to change it to baccalaureate, which seems graduation-ish and not pre-brideish.

I'm back with May stuff! - good grief, I know!

Hey There Hi There Ho There!!!  Peeps!  I'm tellin' ya!  What a "too dang busy" of a summer. You were right Connie of Crafty Home Cottage.  How do I do it all you asked?  I don't!

And  I'm not going to dwell on this on my blog, maybe in real life, but not on my blog, but it's been a rough year.  Starting back in November people have just died and died and died.  I can't count them all anymore.  I've lost track.  I'm serious.  And two more since my Mother In Law and that was only May 26.  Really. can. not. count. them.  I'm still grieving Beth...and my MIL....I need time.....

And I have two friends moving away.  One to Florida, one to southern Indiana, which might as well be Florida.   And geesh why Florida?  What's wrong with Indiana?  (OK - I get it)  But I'm tellin' ya right now, I'm going to cry like a baby when they move.  I'm tearing up thinking about it.  So let's just talk about whadup this summer.

I'm only going to talk about the fun stuff!
And I'm going to say this right up front too....when I get as busy as I've been.  It ain't good.  My Shug said I think being too busy about does you in.  Well he ain't wrong.  But we are still building a house, I still have bees, and it is summer and we have summer time fun around here.  So, back to May.  I know, right!  May?...she can't be serious.  This is July you say.  Well she is serious......May.....
The bachelorette party...
This gang...
plus two more that weren't there yet.....
Red shot glass selfie!
Ashley, Theresa, Vickie, Chris, Me

We went to Michigan City to a casino/hotel and spent the night.  My Sister and I were in charge.  She came up with the games and these signs, and My Shug and I made the "photo booth/jail."

So Mom was flipping through some of the pictures on my phone and she says....
 "What is Ashley eating?"
 'Crap' I think to myself....
"uuummmmm......weeeellllllll........it's a penis cake Mom."  Or four Twinkies and two Ding Dongs if you want to think of it that way.  What can I say, I was in a hurry.  Twinkies, ding dongs, icing, and a few sprinkles.  I probably won't Pinterest the cake!  So Mom says, "well no wonder Vickie is covering her eyes!"
Blogettes it's a bachelorette party, you get a little silly.

These three were bumping the roulette table.

Ok so enough of that fun.....let's move on to the games...tomorrow.....for real though I'll be back tomorrow.  Right now I have honey to extract.

OK really quick...one game....pin the kiss on the man.
See that kiss way over to the left, halfway on the door.  Yup!  That'd be mine!  I'm a loser.
 Sister!  Lawsy!!!
 Chris!!!!!!
I think he got a boo boo on his knee and someone had to kiss it and make it better!  OK gotta run.....I'm extracting honey, honeys!

Bye Bye
Peace y'all

PS - Pop over and see Connie at Crafty Home Cottage for a give away!  It's cool.  I want it for my new laundry room!

PPS - I fixed my computer myself with some aerosol dust removal in a can and a screwdriver thingy.  They told me there would be a $60 diagnostic fee and I'd probably just need a new keyboard.  For this laptop and Windows 8?  I don't think so....I'll take my chances.  I got rough and tough and fixed it!  Crossing fingers.....

More Technical Difficulties! Augh!

Hi everyone. Just popping in to say hi and to let you know that I am OK.   I  have been extremely busy. I was getting ready to do a blog post tonight when my computer started acting up. When I type the letter A it highlights what I have typed, instead of typing the letter a, then deletes what I've typed. So I cannot log into anything because all of my accounts have the letter a in them   So now I am having computer technical difficulties.  I tried to  update my blog on my phone in that wasn't working very well either.    If I can get my computer fixed I will be blogging again.   I've never cared much for windows eight or my new laptop so we'll see what happens
